PREFAB AND MODULAR HOUSE MANUFACTURING

Wigo has many years of experience in house manufacturing from engineered wood materials

  • CLT PANELS
Using this method, the structural components of the house are built from CLT panels, which are then assembled on-site, along with attaching insulation and laying utilities

  • PREFAB PANELS
Prefab panels can be manufactured to already include insulation, as well as connections for all the necessary utilities, therefore reducing the necessary on-site work

  • COMBINED TECHNOLOGY
We also offer individual solutions, combining both technologies to suit the customer's needs. This way, some parts of the building are made using prefab panels, while other parts are made from regular CLT panels

Prefabricated Houses

Eco-friendly houses made from high-quality materials.

  • The structural components of prefabricated houses are built from CLT panels in our controlled facilities, reducing the time delay and material damage. They are then transported to the building site, where they can be easily and quickly assembled, minimizing noise pollution and minimises site disturbance for the surrounding area

  • The prefab kit houses manufactured by Wigo are environmentally friendly and made from certified, high-quality materials. Our house manufacturing technology does not pollute the environment and the production of construction waste is reduced to a minimum

  • The modules that our modular houses are made of are quick to complete with each module then transported to the construction site, where they can be placed on the foundation straight away. The modules are made to include roofs, windows, doors, insulation and utilities, which means that they are ready-to-use buildings. It's possible to create small buildings from just a single module, but in most cases, two or more modules are connected to achieve the desired design

  • It's possible to manufacture modules for various kinds of buildings, including multi-story residential, public or commercial buildings, terraced houses and townhouses, as well as garden buildings, such as saunas, sheds, home offices, summer kitchens and cabins. Modules can also be used to create separate spaces in larger buildings, for example, meeting rooms. By combining various modules, it's possible to quickly build student housing complexes or other residential project

Why choose us?

If you have decided to construct a prefabricated or modular house, the next step is to choose the manufacturer that will bring your project to life. We believe that we stand out among other European prefabricated and modular home manufacturers, thanks to the following advantages:
  • Decades of experience – the history of Wigo Group dates back to 1934, manufacturing prefabricated houses since the end of the 1950s.
  • State of the art technologies – our house manufacturing facility is equipped with modern, computer-controlled machines that ensure the highest precision.
  • Large manufacturing capacity – we are able to complete large-scale projects and offer quicker completion times than other manufacturers.
  • Reliable logistics – once the modules and building components are completed, they can be quickly and safely delivered all over Europe.

Cross Laminated Timber Panels

The most common application of Cross Laminated Timber panels is to use them in the external and internal wall constructions of the house, thus saving space and obtaining visually attractive interior walls without additional treatment

AVAILABILITY OF THE MATERIAL

What is already there does not need to be produced in complex processes. Wood is a renewable resource. With a forest share of 52% of the state area, Latvia is one of the most heavily forested countries in Europe. This guarantees short transport routes through regional availability and at the same time contributes to securing the forestry and sawing industry and sustainable forest conservation.

WOOD AS A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION

The tree absorbs carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air and transforms it into carbon (C) and oxygen (O2) through photosynthesis. The tree thus releases oxygen to its environment. No other building material requires less energy to produce than wood. No matter how the wood is processed, it continues to bind carbon permanently. Wooden buildings help to improve our climate.

PREFABRICATION OF THE WOOD HOUSE

A high degree of prefabrication of wall, ceiling and roof elements in modern, weather-protected WIGO production halls is an essential prerequisite for the consistently high quality. The advantages for the client: less time and effort on site. Lower noise and environmental impact. The client automatically gets the simplest possible project management with the prefabricated house for its environmentally friendly solution.

ECOLOGICAL IMPULSEERS YESTERDAY - TODAY - TOMORROW

For many years, the standard versions of WIGO prefabricated houses have been in the low-energy sector. WIGO has always been seen as a pioneer and driver of the industry. In addition to the outstanding insulation values, WIGO also offers future-oriented technology, such as photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, etc. This brings multiple benefits: for the residents of the house, for the climate and the environment as well as for future generations. On the threshold of the future is the current innovation of the combination of solid wood with integrated cellulose chambers. The Plus Energy House already gives an outlook on future building and living - a house that generates more energy than it consumes for heating, cooling, hot water, light, household, etc.

MULTIPLE BENEFITS

Short construction time due to the high prefabrication. Unlike mineral building materials, dehydration time is eliminated when building with wood. Timber construction enables a slim wall construction and thus a space gain of up to 10% with very good energy and building physics values. The wall structure also offers the safety benefits of practical experience in earthquake and flood prone areas

LIVING COMFORT

Wood is a piece of nature and it remains even after processing. Pleasant and soothing surface feel as opposed to "cold building materials". Wood absorbs moisture and releases it in dry air. This creates a uniform indoor climate. Wood acts as a protection against electro smog and, according to long-term tests, also has a positive effect on sub consciousness and well-being.

Our profiles meet all the relevant special requirements

CONSTRUCTION TIMBER

We offer construction timber which is used for framed and panel houses, roof and other structures. Timber is dried in certified kilns, planed and calibrated.

Calibrated timber of 12-18% moisture content level is graded as per stress and strength requirements applicable to C24 or C32 category timber.

FIRE-RETARDANT IMPREGNATOR FLAMEX

To prolong and ensure service life of timber as a construction material, we protect timber with special fire-retardant impregnators. We use Flamex. Carefully treated timber develops long-term protection that does not need to be renewed.

FINISHING

We manufacture high quality finished construction materials for internal and external construction works, spruce-or pine, different profiles and sizes as:

- Terrace boards
- Floorboards
- Interior lcladding boards (finger-jointed, 12-18% moisture content, with
- complete tongue and groove joint).
- Exterior cladding boards
- Smoothed 4 sides or smoothed 4 sides, edged

PAINTING TEKNOS

For finishing materials we use effective and durable cladding coatings from Teknos.
